Pastors Bicycles
The greatest hindrance to proper discipleship in the recent past among the Baptist Churches in the country side has been the long distances that are trekked by the pastors and leaders of the community churches. The appropriate form of transport to help curb this is the provision of Bicycles. We have made tremendous strides towards the provision of Bicycles to Baptist Pastors especially those in the country side.

We would like to appreciate the APF support of a Total of Uganda Shillings 6,640,000 towards the purchase of 54 Bicycles for Baptist Churches. The BUU Executive Committee agreed to the following criteria to have these bicycles distributed; Eight churches in each region of the Baptist Union arrangement which had excelled in its giving to the Baptist Union of Uganda in the year 2007 were each a bicycle in the year 2008. 24 Bicycles were availed to the 24 National Regional School of Ministry Preparation Centers at Sub Regions. 1 Bicycle was availed to Western Uganda Baptist Theological College (WUBTC) in Kiburara, in Kasese. 1 Bicycle was availed to Uganda Baptist Seminary (UBS) in Jinja, to help the Pastors training in that Seminary. The 17 Bicycles remaining were available to pastors on a first come first serve basis on condition that they contributed 36,000 to help the BUU cater for the administration of these Bicycles nationally, including delivering them to the beneficiaries who are of distant places.

The need is greatly enormous for these bicycles but we cannot be able to cater for all at the moment, we would appreciate any monies raised in this area and may God richly bless those that have given for this cause.
