We would like to appreciate the support BMS World Mission UK has continued to offer towards Pastors Training at UBS, the sponsorship from BMS World Mission for the period of 2008 was a 2 of the 4 years they have committed to offer sponsorship towards training for the BUU Leaders. KEST is located in Kampala and has its mission to equip men and women with knowledge and practical skills for effective holistic ministry in their world; they do this through formal as well as non formal training programs. They target men and women seeking opportunity for personal growth and development of skills in Christian service and ministry. BMS World Mission has partly sponsored 8 BUU Leaders at KEST every year since the year 2007. Currently the funding is a 3 of 3 years for the 4 leaders and a 2 of 3 years for the other 4 leaders, successful graduates of this scheme so far have included; Pr. Alex Minge from Choice Baptist Church, Mrs. Jessica Okello from Lugogo Baptist Church and Pr. Richard Otim of Soroti Baptist Church. Replacements for those graduating and leaving the scheme are made constantly to make a total of eight leaders at all times. Appreciation also goes to African Pastor Fellowship for a one time donation of GBP 500 towards the training of Pastors at KEST during the year 2008.
